The Dallas City Attorney’s Municipal Prosecution Section is seeking an energetic, self- motivated attorney licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar to fill a full-time position.

Police Recruit

  • Works under the supervision of Memphis Police Academy staff to grasp concepts and perform a wide range of tasks which promote public safety and security.
  • Performs general enforcement of the laws including patrolling assigned areas, apprehending and controlling suspects, and controlling traffic, writing reports, providing public information, maintaining records and material evidence, and providing court testimony. Attends training classes as required and meets mandatory training requirements.

System Engineer II – Server Services

Under direction maintains and supports the City’s email system, Active Directory environment, core-server infrastructure, assisting in server services projects and performing other related required duties.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Provides support for Enterprise Infrastructure Systems and Applications
  • Tests, implements, operates and supports the City’s enterprise infrastructure

Assistant Director – Technology

Under the general direction of the Houston Police Department (HPD) Chief Technology Officer (CTO), duties, functions, and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Acts for the CTO in his/her absence and represents him/her in an official capacity, as required, on all technology related matters and at local, state and professional meetings
  • Assists the CTO in the administration, implementation and direction of all Information Technology programs and policies for the Office of Technology Services

Community Technology Center Supervisor

What You’d Do

DPL is hiring a Community Technology Center Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the CTC, including the Central Library’s ideaLAB makerspace. This role will lead delivery of digital inclusion services at the Central Library, with a commitment to ensuring anyone in Denver has the ability to use computers and the internet for free with limited barriers. The supervisor will lead a team of CTC staff to help customers navigate technology. CTC customers include DPL priority populations: BIPOC, vulnerable youth, people who are digitally isolated, unemployed, unhoused, immigrants, refugees, and older adults. The CTC Supervisor will work closely with DPL digital inclusion colleagues to plan, coordinate and evaluate technology programs for the Denver community.

The CTC supervisor will select, train, and motivate a team of CTC staff. Team supervision includes setting job standards and objectives, appraising performance, and creating and maintaining work schedules to cover multiple service points. The CTC team is highly collaborative, meets frequently, and works together to iteratively improve technology services. The supervisor role includes frequent coaching and staff development in areas such as how best to welcome and encourage reluctant technology users, or de-escalate frustrated customers. When it comes to technology, this is a team of broad navigation rather than deep expertise, and the CTC supervisor needs appreciation for what technology access can do to improve lives more than any particular tech expertise. City Engineer

DEFINITION

Under general supervision performs a variety of civil engineering assignments that require application of engineering principles, practices, and theories.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

This is a single position management class responsible for the broad spectrum of engineering functions, formulating policies, goals, and directives; providing expert professional assistance to City management staff on engineering matters, program planning, fiscal management, and operation of assigned functional areas, including professional civil engineering work and design for a variety of development and public works programs; oversees a wide range of engineering work in the review of designs, studies, and research in municipal utilities; provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager and; represent the department on a variety of matters at the City, State, and National level.

Animal Care and Control Shelter Veterinarian

The Shelter Veterinarian for the Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control facility (MACC) provides and oversees medical care for animals in the shelter’s custody, in addition to providing medical care for animals fostered and recently placed.  Performs high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for domestic animals.  Satisfies current veterinary standards of care.

Typical Duties

  • Plans and implements a comprehensive animal health care program including population management, environmental sanitation, record-keeping, disease surveillance, physical examinations, vaccination, parasite control, disease testing, disease treatment, surgery, nutrition, outbreak response, and environmental enrichment for animals in the shelter and in foster homes, consistent with state, local, MPHD, and MACC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Educates staff and volunteers regarding animal disease and behavior.
  • Ensures that each animal receives a physical examination upon intake, and that sick and injured animals are diagnosed, and treatment is prescribed.
  • Assesses and advises as to treatment options for sick or injured animals, including risks and costs thereof.
  • Performs high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries and additional surgeries as necessary, including but not limited to enucleations, exploratory, wound repair, tumor removal with biopsy, dentals, amputations, etc.
  • Provides emergency medical care as needed, including but not limited to IV catheter placement, emergency surgery, transfusions, etc.
  • Monitors the health of animals in the shelter (in collaboration with the shelter staff), performs diagnostic procedures, and provides appropriate and timely treatment when necessary.
  • Provides leadership, direction, guidance and training for veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and other shelter staff, including training and oversight in sedation and euthanasia.
  • Develops written protocols for the shelter’s veterinary clinic, including diagnostic and treatment plans and animal disposition guidelines.

Senior Engineer

Senior Engineers perform technical engineering work of considerable difficulty and may supervise a unit in a specialized phase of engineering activities.   • Maintains the integrity, professionalism, values, and goals of the Addison Police Department by assuring that all rules and regulations are followed, and that accountability and public trust are preserved.
  • May be asked to perform additional job duties that are directly, indirectly or completely unrelated to normal job functions in the course of presenting certain Town special events.
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned.
