Completion of Associate of Arts Degree or more than 60 semester hour credits directly applicable to a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. In addition, it is preferred that applicants have completed the Peace Officers Basic Training, currently licensed in accordance with North Dakota P.O.S.T. requirements. Applicants must have a valid North Dakota driver’s license or must obtain one prior to employment. It is also desirable that an applicant have some background in dealing with the public.
